Craftique Announces Custom Cabinet Line

(Mebane, N.C.) Craftique, makers of fine solid wood furniture, have launched a new product line of custom cabinetry to add to its sought-after offerings of hand-crafted custom mahogany bedroom, dining room and accent pieces. The company is leveraging the talents of its North Carolina craftspeople and the proven successful Craftique turnkey manufacturing system to give customers exactly what they want in terms of design, material and quality.

“We have the skill and the ability in-house to work directly with our customers to take their concept of the perfect cabinet system and make it a reality,” John Erwin, co-owner of Craftique said.

Craftique’s design team makes an on-site visit to the customer’s home or business to collect measurements and information about how the space will be used and creates a computer rendering for review, incorporating requested changes along the way.

According to Pamela Merritt, Craftique’s kitchen and bath designer, the cabinet systems she works on are totally customizable to the individual’s requirements for their kitchen, office or entertainment space.

Once the design is completed, Craftique’s talented team of artisan crafters produces the final product in the company’s Mebane workshop. Craftique then installs the cabinetry, featuring hand-crafted details and thoughtful designs combined with solid mahogany and other woods to create a functional, long-lasting work of art.

Erwin said the demand for custom cabinetry developed out of work Craftique did for a couple who took over an older home in Durham from a tenant who ripped out the kitchen cabinets when they left, leaving the new owners with nothing. Craftique measured the space and designed a kitchen that meshed with the home’s design, an approach the company took with another client whose 15,000 square foot home in Chapel Hill was gutted by a fire caused by lightning.

“During the Chapel Hill rebuild we produced cabinets for the kitchen, wet bar, vanity and also did some molding work as well,” Erwin said.

Some of the quality standards Craftique is implementing in its cabinet line include solid wood construction, hand rubbed finishes, decorative inlay fronts and English dovetail joinery.

The launch of the cabinetry line comes as Craftique is ramping-up a new home furnishings store just off I-40 in Burlington. The company is investing in the high-traffic, easily accessible showroom in response to growing demand from young professionals and families for functional, attractive furniture that will last a lifetime.

“By going direct to the consumer via our store, we are able to offer significant savings for a better value than can be found in any furniture chain and give people hands-on access to our stunning craftsmanship and quality,” Erwin said.

While plans for a November grand opening of the Craftique home furnishings store are in the works, the store is now open to the public between the hours of 10-6 Monday through Friday and 1-6 on Saturday.
