APEX, N.C. -- Bush League: The Show© (www.bushleaguetheshow.com),
a revolutionary new “Experiential Americana” reality TV series, has
launched a Kickstarter campaign to help defray equipment costs as the
project begins its pre-production stage of a summer 2014 shooting
schedule. The show, celebrating America and the ties that bind our
communities together through the prism of minor league baseball, will
debut this fall as a web series in preparation for the jump to cable
television in 2015.
“In each episode of Bush League: The Show
we’re going to take viewers along on a road trip to discover the hidden
gems along our nation's highways and byways, celebrating the purity of
minor league baseball as we celebrate what’s great about our country --
young people chasing their dreams in small town USA,” Matt Noonan,
co-creator said.
According to Noonan, the series is a departure
from many of today’s reality television programming which too often
caters to the lowest common denominator. In trips to communities
throughout the country to visit minor league teams, Bush League: The
Show will profile unique local characters and longtime fans with
inspiring stories, civic leaders and historians with backgrounds on
their communities' place in history, and other fun and interesting
individuals who will provide viewers with inspirational and often
humorous personal insight into their own life experiences.
“We want to make working hard to achieve your goals cool again,” Noonan explained.
Donations have already begun trickling into the Bush League: The Show Kickstarter site, which can be accessed online via www.bushleaguetheshow.com, via Twitter @BushLeagueTV, or on the Bush League: The Show Facebook page.
