APEX, N.C. -- North Carolina’s happiest startup, Happy Fix® (www.happyfix.com),
joined hundreds of other vendors at the renowned Raleigh Flea Market at
the NC State Fairgrounds Memorial Day Weekend for its first appearance
at one of the Southeast’s most popular shopping destinations. In
addition to selling popular items like Happy Caps, uber-comfy t-shirts,
HPY bumper stickers, and Blast of Sunshine Koozies, Happy Fix recruited
dozens of Happbassadors who connected with the positive lifestyle
company’s mantra, “Happy Feels Good.”
“People
were getting really excited about what we’re trying to do insofar as
serving as a reminder that individuals are not limited by negative
situations,” Stacy Menzies, company president said.
According to
Menzies, a Happy Fix is something you do or have that helps you overcome
negativity. “Feeling sad? Put on your Happy Cap and go for a walk.
Rough Day at work? Come home and throw on your most comfortable Happy
Fix shirt,” she explained, adding, “People have the power to make a
conscious decision to stop negative thinking and populate their world
with things that make them happy.
“Sometimes, people forget that.”
Thousands
of shoppers of all ages passed by the Happy Fix booth over the
company’s two-day appearance at the Flea Market, with a steady stream of
people leaving notes about what makes them happy, including such things
as camping, family, pets, reading, selling antiques, wine, bluegrass
music and the mountains.
“My personal favorite was ‘riding the harley’ submitted by a wonderful woman visiting from New York state,” Menzies said.
The
appearance at the Flea Market has resulted in an uptick in Happy Fix
Twitter followers and Facebook likes, in addition to increased website
traffic on HappyFix.com. The company is planning more pop-up stores at
the venue throughout the summer, in addition to other North
Carolina-based and regional events.
The Raleigh Flea Market
features nearly a thousand vendors spread out between six buildings and
several acres of fields and lots, hawking used books, bluegrass albums,
North Carolina pottery, batteries, and barbecued pork. It is continually
ranked as one of the most popular flea markets in the country,
including a “top ten” ranking by CNN.
Happy Fix is committed to
producing quality, sought-after products people love, available for
purchase online and at events. The company’s smiling HPY oval brand
design – furthering the concept that smiles elicit thoughts of happiness
and joy – is featured on comfortable apparel and fun, long-lasting
accessories.
