Publicity and Branding Pundit David D. Menzies Presents at Triangle TechBreakfast

RESEARCH TRIANGLE, N.C. -- Innovative Public Relations (www.innovativepublicrelations.com) President David D. Menzies recently discussed media relations and self-publishing in front of about 80 area entrepreneurs and innovators at the May 22 Triangle TechBreakfast at HQ Raleigh. Presenting at the event, Menzies demoed his free publicity and branding tool for North Carolina businesses:  NCTechNews, a professionally edited online news outlet providing readers with timely information about the life sciences, entrepreneurism, high tech and education.


Anyone can contribute content for consideration of publication in NCTechNews for free using an online submission form or by emailing news items to info@nctechnews.com. Menzies, a former print newspaper editor, reviews daily submissions for publication to further NCTechNews’ mission of sharing content from a wide variety of businesses and organizations to build a stronger innovation community in North Carolina and contribute to economic growth.

Originally designed in 2007 to give an extra boost to his clients’ press releases, NCTechNews soon caught the eye of peers within the public relations industry, Menzies, explained, who began asking if he would publish their client press releases. Now, he receives dozens of press releases daily from PR professionals and small business owners looking to share their stories on NCTechNews, supplementing quality reporting by other respected media outlets throughout North Carolina.

Menzies was joined by fellow presenters from EasyPaint, OBX Computing, and Epidemico at the event which was sponsored by Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, TriNet and VodaWize Communications. The host of Triangle TechBreakfast, HQ Raleigh, is a physical space / coworking space designed to provide an environment that empowers, fosters, and cultivates companies that produce long-term job growth and positive social impact.
