Argentinian Company Looks to Proven LES Technology as Integral Part for New Physical Access Control Product

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Integrated Biometrics (IntegratedBiometrics.com), developer of the world’s smallest and lightest FBI-compliant fingerprint scanners, has announced that its Columbo FBI certified FAP 30 sensor has been selected by BETHCOM for incorporation into its new Phalcon physical access control product. Utilizing patented light emitting sensor (LES) technology, Columbo produces the highest quality fingerprint images in a small and lightweight form factor.

“As we continue to see our international footprint growing we are especially pleased to partner with BETHCOM, a premier access control solutions provider. Their selection of the FAP30 Columbo provides best-in-class performance for a single finger scanner,” Steve Thies, Integrated Biometrics CEO said.

Headquartered in Argentina, BETHCOM is a distributor and integrator of solutions for biometric identification and security products. General Operations Manager Gonzalo Espinosa said, “We are pleased with our new Phalcon product and are very happy to be partnering with Integrated Biometrics.”

The BETHCOM partnership is the latest in a series of similar announcements from Integrated Biometrics. In April, the company announced that its Columbo product has been incorporated into Mobizent’s MobiCHK™ product line for use with Intermec CN70e hand held devices, and in May it released news about its Sherlock two-finger roll scanner being successfully integrated into AMREL’s Flexpedient® AT80B Rugged Tablet.

Columbo’s popularity is tied to its full featured SDK which enables effective integration into applications requiring certified quality images. The scanner meets the needs for both enrollment and verification applications common in international standards-based programs, and is particularly suited to the many mobile applications where minimal size and weight have significant value.

Integrated Biometrics provides enrollment and verification fingerprint sensors to hardware integrators, software and database providers, and contractors serving government agencies and commercial markets worldwide to address issues related to homeland security, border patrol, law enforcement, background checks, military and defense, social services, national ID programs and elections.

The company partners with well-known, respected technology providers such as Akiyama, AMREL, Aware, BETHCOM, Booz Allen Hamilton, Corvus Biometrics, Credence ID, InCadence Strategic Solutions, Mobizent and NEC.
